DESCRIPTION: Bramwell is rich in history relating to, but not limited
to, the early coal industry. Located in the center of the Bluestone River,
a circling river. The town possesses many beautifully refurbished mansions
(Victorian, Tudor, Gothic), old camp homes, and old churches w/diverse
styles. A working railway passes on the edge of town, and a non-working
railway (with old train cars) runs directly through town. A refurbished
train depot sits at the edge of the Old Bramwell (the hidden jewel of
southern West Virginia).

DESCRIPTION: Throughout its history, Harpers Ferry has been the backdrop
for remarkable and unparalleled events. Here, in one setting, several
themes in the American story converge: Native Americans, industry and
transportation, African-Americans, John Brown, the Civil War, and the
natural environment. Harpers Ferry became part of the National Park System
in 1944. The park covers over 2,300 acres in the states of West Virginia,
Maryland, and Virginia.
