Distributed by Warner Bros., the film WE ARE MARSHALL tells the true story about the worst air tragedy in the history of collegiate athletics — the Marshall University plane crash that claimed the lives of 75 Thundering Herd football players, coaching staff, sports commentators, local boosters, and flight crew on November 14, 1970. Struggling through the loss, a determined coach named Jack Lengyel and a small group of surviving players try to rebuild the team and, in the process, help to heal a community.

Produced by Legendary Pictures, Thunder Road Pictures (Basil Iwanyk), and Wonderland Sound & Vision (McG), WE ARE MARSHALL will have its WORLD PREMIERE in Huntington, West Virginia, on Tuesday, December 12, 2006. The Los Angeles premiere is scheduled for December 15, followed by the nationwide theatrical release on December 22.

Filming Locations: Filmed in Huntington and Ceredo, West Virginia, for 16 days in April 2006 and for 3 days in September 2006 (remainder of filming took place in Atlanta, Georgia).
