WE ARE MARSHALL -- mark calendars for Nov. 27 -- tickets go on sale for Marquee Cinema's Pullman Square screenings

At a press conference today in Huntington, it was announced that tickets will go on sale November 27 for the Marquee Cinema's Pullman Square December 12 screenings of WE ARE MARSHALL.

Beginning at 9:00 am on Nov. 27, about 2,000 tickets will be available at $25.00 each. Tickets may be purchased at the box office and on the theater's website at www.marqueecinemas.com. To help alleviate potential logistical concerns, if you plan to sit with friends or family, the tickets must be purchased at the same time -- and you should also plan to arrive at the theater together on Dec. 12.

The premiere at Pullman's Marquee is a fundraising event for Marshall University, so the ticket price is for admission only and does not include concessions. Curtis McCall, the owner of Marquee Cinemas headquartered in Beckley, generously donated the entire 16-screen complex for this very special evening.

All 16 screens at Marquee will show WE ARE MARSHALL beginning at 8:00 pm. Two auditoriums have been reserved for Marshall University students (it was reported today that only 36 seats remain for the two designated student auditoriums).

Additional festivities will greet the ticket holders at Marquee:  live music, games, and more than $5,000 in prize give-aways from Clear Channel Communications, including a big-screen television and two green recliners. Also, these ticket holders will have an opportunity to gain entrance to the bleachers (limited seating - first come, first served) that will line Fourth Avenue in front of the Keith Albee as the film's director, producers, and actors walk the Green Carpet prior to the Keith Albee premiere (which begins an hour earlier than the Marquee screenings). Bleachers will likely be open around 4:00 pm.

The screenings at Marquee will be followed by a candlelight ceremony in Pullman's courtyard to honor the 75 victims of the November 14, 1970 plane crash.
